Family Law Attorney in Frisco, TX

I am the managing attorney of The Law Office of Matthew Davis, PLLC. I help North Texas families navigate the murky waters of family law. To me, this means providing compassionate, affordable legal services with an understanding that your family and its needs are unique.

When I say that I am different from other lawyers, I really mean it. My background is in music and education, and I draw upon that creativity to provide options to my clients so that they can choose how to proceed.

My goals are to make sure my clients’ rights are protected, that their children are taken care of, and that they are able to get on with their lives. Family law can suck the life out of a family, but it doesn’t have to. I want to help keep that from happening.

My Credentials

  • JD, SMU Dedman School of Law
  • BA, Music, Texas State University, magna cum laude
  • License to Practice Law, State of Texas

My Biography

I have worked exclusively in family law since I began working my way through law school in 2009. Back in early 2015, I decided it was time for me to open up my own practice with a simple goal in mind: pay attention to the client, not just the law.

Before becoming a family lawyer, I was a high school music teacher. I have seen from that viewpoint the strain that family law litigation can put on children. I’ve yet to meet a parent that wishes that on their own kids, and I’ve found that the right combination of perspective and good advice can go a long way to preventing this.

I am a part of a number of great organizations in the area, both for lawyers and young professionals. I’m excited to continue on the board for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s young professionals group, as well as a member of the Family Section of the State Bar of Texas, the Collin County Young Lawyer’s Association, and the Frisco Bar Association.

My Family

I met my wife at the beginning of law school, and we recently celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary. We’ve put down roots in Frisco and have even welcomed our first child.

In my free time, I enjoy pretending to be a foodie, listening to classical music, playing tennis, and watching my various sports teams disappoint me.
